An Unusual Question....
What makes a person want to racially pass? I've read a few books on the subject but that question has always nagged me. I mean, I understand that the historical/social/economic implications of racially passing and although I disapprove of the methods that some African Americans took to "blend" in with general White society, I can understand, in a way, why they chose that method. But what is the justification for doing it in today's society when opportunities are moe plentiful than 100 years ago? Can someone answer that for me?
